Is There Lint in Your Belly Button?
Whether there is or isn’t lint in there, I don’t really want to know. My point is, if you were able to answer that question, you are spending way too much time focusing on yourself!
Philippians 2:3-4 tells us, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Life itself teaches us that we can accomplish much more when we work together, each one using their strengths to help the team. In sports, the coach chooses the player’s position by their strengths. Where one is weak, another is strong. And they can get the job done… together.
God promises us in James 4:10, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
So, don’t go looking for lint in your belly button. Remember,
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
